We are immensely happy to share that Sr. Lucy Kurien was invited by the Co-Presidents of the Interreligious Dialogue Institute (IDI) Fr. Guillermo Marco, Omar Abboud, and Rabbi Daniel Goldman. These three pioneers co-founded IDI with Pope Francis in 2001, and they have been leading pioneers for interfaith dialogue not only in South America, but also internationally including Russia, the Middle East, and Italy. Pope Francis has been striving in earnest to implement interfaith dialogue and constructive collaboration with other major world religions, and in this respect he has been a real pioneer in the papacy.
The primary session of this inter-religious conference in Rome was attended by approximately 120 leaders, including senior cardinals and priests from the Vatican and the ambassadors from many countries to the Vatican. During the plenary session, Three days later Sr. Lucy Kurien had an audience with His Holiness Pope Francis, which was a unique experience.
