Ekata

EKTA - Free provisions for poor families

This term ‘Ekta’ implies unity and togetherness. When a few parents requested Maher to admit their children saying that they were unable to provide them food Maher took the responsibility of caring for these children but decided to keep them with the parents. So this project was started to provide rations like rice, wheat, oil etc, once a month or as per the need to those families who are under poverty line, with the intention of keeping the family united and together despite the poverty. It provides a sense of security so the family remains undivided. Maher provides for the rations of about 28 families.
