Christmas celebration

Christmas celebration

As usual our Christmas program was a grand success. It would not have been possible without your love & support.

I would like to say a big thank you to Mr. Jayraj who travelled all the way from Delhi only to be with us on this special occasion. Our heartfelt thanks to our dear friends Mr. Murli and Shahnaz Nair for sponsoring the meals in all our 49 homes, Dr. Nicola and Jayant Pawar for sponsoring the Christmas gifts, the Weikfield Company for sponsoring Custard, Ice Creams and Blankets etc.,Dr. Pradeep Sharma for the Christmas sweets, Mr. Vivek Parate for Christmas gifts for children. Thanks a lot for Andrews Michael and the Tamil Church team for giving Dresses, Frocks, Bed Sheets Fridge and other stationery items during this Christmas season. Everyone were happy to meet Sr. Lucy's sisters, all 5 of them who came from Kerala especially to be present for the program, Saji Sr. Lucy's nephew and family who travelled all the way from Cairo. Our special thanks to Sr. Lucy, Mr. Vijayan and family for being present for the engagement ceremony of Narsimah & Omana.

We had lots of fun catching up with friends, it was such a great mix of people. The Maher family feels so blessed to have such wonderful friends like you and we cherish this encouragement and support which enables us to make a difference in the lives of the downtrodden.

On 24th evening we had invited all pavement dwellers from Vadu, Chaufula and Perne Phata. Many thanks to all our generous donors because of whom we could distribute food to around 1300 people and blankets, Saris, and books to the women & children. On the 25th morning we had the engagement ceremony of Narsimha and Omana as per the Hindu Rites followed by the Christmas program and distribution of gifts to 1500 inmates of Maher.
