We are happy to announce that on 18 June 2016 Maher children elected the new ministers for the  Maher Parliament for the new academic year 2016-17 at  Vadhu Bk, Pune. Like every year, the children this year also showed  great interest in the election. The meeting began with a review of the work of the existing minister. After Sister Lucy (Founder and Director of Maher) explained the nature of responsibilities of a minister, the willing members of the audience were asked to enter the election. 380 children took part in the election and with their voting they elected the ministers of Maher among them. Those elected were assigned their portfolios. The new Maher Council of Ministers with their portfolios is as follows:\r\n

Prime Minister: Kamal Gawade           Education Minister: Yogita Arjun

\r\n

Health Minister: Sayali Londhe           Environment Minister: Pooja Badhe

\r\n

Cultural Minister: Ashitosh Shelar     Sports Minister: Shrivats Tamang

\r\nAll these elected members were honored by  Ruhi Ranjan (Managing director of Accenture) and their team. In every home of Maher the children also elected the Ministers for their home. With the coordination of these central ministers they work the whole academic year for the good of Maher’s children.\r\n\r\nThe purpose of this Parliament is to improve the leadership quality, to give them self confidence and prepare them to handle more responsibilities for a better society.\r\n\r\n
